Hello! I’m Ginger, & I blog over at GingerSnapCrafts.com. I am sooooo excited to be over here with the Crafting Chicks today. ๐Ÿ™‚ Over on my blog I love sharing easy, simple & fun projects, recipes & ideas. I’m also a mom to 5 kiddos, & I have one amazing husband. I hope to see you around sometime over on my blog. ๐Ÿ™‚ This DIY ‘Joy to The World’ Blockย is so, so easy to put together. Shhhh! These are actually our neighbor gifts this year. ๐Ÿ˜‰ We can make a bunch at once, they are really inexpensive to make, & they turn out super cute. So keep reading to get the tutorial. ๐Ÿ™‚
You’ll need a few supplies to get started:
  • 2×4 cut into a 7 inch block
  • this image from the Silhouette store
  • Joy to the World vinyl (cut with my Silhouette)
  • white acrylic paint or spray paint
  • sand paper
  • ribbon
First I painted my block white. It took two coats of paint, & then I let it dry really well. Then I distressed it slightly with some sand paper.
Then I applied my vinyl lettering. If you have never applied vinyl lettering before you can check out this tutorial over on my blog. Just a warning~ it’s addictive! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’ll put vinyl on almost anything that’s not moving. ha! ๐Ÿ™‚
Finally I tied a ribbon around the top! That’s it! I told you this was quick & easy! ๐Ÿ˜‰
I think our neighbors are going to LOVE them. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Enjoy some of my favorite Christmas posts. ๐Ÿ™‚
I hope to see you over at GingerSnapCrafts.comย soon!
Thanks for having me over! ๐Ÿ™‚
